EVAN ZINAMAN is an entertainment and corporate transactional attorney in the firm’s Beverly Hills office. Evan’s multi-faceted practice focuses on contractual and intellectual-property matters throughout the music, television, film and technology industries, with additional expertise in advising emerging and established clients on a wide range of corporate transactions and regulations. Evan’s attention to detail, resourcefulness and transactional experience are a great asset to Evan’s clients which include recording artists, songwriters, producers, talent agents and managers, live-event organizers and other entertainment- and tech-oriented talent, businesses and entrepreneurs.
Before joining Boyarski Fritz LLP, Evan worked as a Senior Attorney for Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson, LLP (AGMB) in New York City and Los Angeles, negotiating and drafting a variety of documentation for clients in the entertainment, technology and financial industries, among others. At AGMB, Evan served as production counsel on television series and motion pictures across many genres, assisting clients at all stages of their projects’ development, financing, production and distribution, and, as AGMB’s senior corporate counsel, handled complex matters across many industries, including the structuring and management of investment funds and the preparation of bespoke long-form operating and purchase agreements.
Before joining AGMB, Evan spent years as a Corporate Associate in the New York City offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP (STB), where he engaged in a broad-based corporate practice with experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, finance and securities transactions. At STB, Evan regularly represented clients that rank among the world’s largest financial institutions on sophisticated nine- and ten-figure transactions.
Evan earned his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, where he graduated cum laude. Evan also attended the University of Michigan for undergrad, where he earned a B.A. in Public Policy at U of M’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
Evan is a member of several arts-focused non-profit organizations, including sitting on the T.J. Martell Foundation’s Young Professionals Advisory Council and as a Panel Attorney for California Lawyers for the Arts.
Evan is a member of the New York and California State Bars. He currently resides in Los Feliz, on the east side of Los Angeles, CA.
