MARSHALL AMORES is an Associate at Boyarski Fritz LLP, with a focus on contract drafting, negotiation, intellectual property issues and licensing for the firm’s entertainment clients in the music, film, television and new media industries, with a primary focus on working with the firm’s recording artists, songwriters, producers, influencers, production companies, record labels, influencers, distributors and music publishers.

 

Before joining the firm, Marshall was an associate at The Davis Firm, PLLC for two years, where he honed his negotiation and client-facing skills by handling a wide array of matters for music industry clients, including producer and side artist agreements, recording agreements, influencer agreements and management agreements.

 

While in law school, Marshall was a law clerk for various music law firms including Sedlmayr & Associates, P.C and David M. Ehrlich & Associates.  Marshall also worked at Steven Madden, Ltd., learning the basics of fashion law and trademark litigation.

Marshall graduated with a concentration in Intellectual Property & Information Law from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as a Staff Editor for the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal and the Music Chair for the Cardozo Entertainment Law Society. 

 

Marshall holds a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Political Science, along with minors in Philosophy, Spanish, and Anthropology, from West Virginia University.

 

Marshall is a member of the New York State Bar and lives in Manhattan’s East Village.
