RYAN ASHE, an Associate at Boyarski Fritz LLP, works on a diverse array of matters for the firm with a primary focus on contract drafting, clearances, licensing, intellectual property issues and legal research within the music space for clients such as recording artists, songwriters, producers, influencers, production companies, management companies, record labels, influencers, distributors and music publishers.

 

A former legal intern at Boyarski Fritz LLP, Ryan held several other legal internships in the music space including a role on ASCAP's Legal & Business Affairs team in New York as well as positions with Kuhn Law Group PLLC and the Filmmakers Legal Clinic.

Prior to law school, Ryan spent several years as a Royalties Analyst at ABKCO Music & Records, Inc., where he worked on high level publishing catalogs including The Rolling Stones.  Ryan was also an A&R Intern at Primary Wave Music.

 

Ryan earned his J.D. from the Cardozo School of Law, where he focused on intellectual property law and was a member of the Entertainment Law Society as well as an Editor for the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Originally a native of the Boston area, Ryan currently resides in Brooklyn and is pending admission to the New York State Bar.
